Three years after Alpha Rowan Blackwood publicly exiled Luna Mara Hale for exposing corruption, she returns as a battle-hardened rescue commander when wildfire engulfs Blackridge. As Rowan locks borders, prioritizing power over people, Mara defies him, cutting security chains to lead her cross-species team into the inferno. She dismantles pack rules—opening supplies, sheltering all species, even destroying a bridge to save lives—proving true leadership comes from sacrifice, not title. Supported by human ally Ethan Cole, whom she publicly chooses as her new partner, Mara rejects Rowan's attempts to reclaim her, then defeats him in an Alpha challenge, seizing control; her first order is to continue saving lives. Yet, Alliance Regent Selene Voss attempts to exploit the crisis, challenging Mara's leadership with political pressure and aid restrictions. Mara, refusing to trade values for power, fights from the front lines, proving leadership by action, not authority. Show More Show Less
