Pawning In Hell
Yuan Yi is a novelist who has been living in a welfare institution since he can remember. The absence of memories of his biological parents has made him a target for bullying by other children, leading to various personality flaws. He is very introverted, with Li Man, his childhood friend, being the only person willing to approach him. After Li Man is adopted, Yuan Yi becomes even more isolated and unwilling to interact with society or strangers. As an adult, Yuan Yi leaves the welfare institution and supports himself by writing supernatural novels. One day, while working on a novel about a haunted town, he realizes that there is a shortage of food at home and has to go out to buy some. On his way to the supermarket, he witnesses a little girl standing in the middle of the road about to be hit by a car. He acts instinctively to save her, but in the process, he gets seriously injured and falls into a coma. When he wakes up, he finds himself in a mysterious yin and yang grocery store.
