Chapter Fifteen

I put my clothes on mega quickly but was now stressing about my hair, it was still quite wet as I hadn't had time to dry it before he appeared. It was now super curly as it became air dry, I look around at the varies products I had on my counter, I needed something to tame my locks. But looking around, I couldn't see anything that would do the trick in the little time I had. I stare at myself in the mirror and sigh, there is a mega hot dude sitting in my bedroom and I'm about to walk out in yoga pants, a sports bra and my hair a curly mess! You know when we planned the lunch date I was gonna make myself look mega cute, but now I'm stuck looking like this. Actually no, you are perfect Erika, if he can't appreciate you for all the ways you look than he isn't the guy for you! (Even if he's cute) I mess with my hair a tiny bit just making sure nothing was sticking up, once I had sort of tamed the mess I stand in front of my bathroom door. He goes nothing! I open the door where I spot Cody setting a picnic up on my bedroom floor, he even had a picnic blanket. "Whoa, I thought my barricade was impressive" I say walking into my bedroom, he looks up smiling at me patting the space in front of him. I smile sitting on the blanket crossing my legs, no one has ever done anything like this for me before. This just goes back to what I was saying earlier, he is the perfect guy! "No, I still think your barricade is quite spectacular" he smiles reaching in the basket pulling a lunch box out, he opens the lid hovering it in my face "care for a sandwich?" He asks with a smile, I smile taking one while thanking him. "You know this is really sweet, no other guy has ever done anything like this for me before" I smile looking around at the amazing picnic, he seems to tense up a little looking over at me. "Well I'm not like any of the other guys you've been around before, those other guys must have been idiots to not give you the best" he says in a point kind of a tone, well if I'm being honest he is a hundred percent correct, most of them were idiots "I will show you how you should be treated" he smiles leaning over and taking my hand, an ever bigger smile takes over my expression as he places a kiss on my hand. "You're definitely at the top of the list of any guy" I smile taking a bite from the sandwich, shouting coming from downstairs breaks the lovely peaceful moment we had going on. "Erika!" I hear my dad shout and his pounding footsteps up the stairs, in seconds he was banging on my bedroom door "we need to talk, it's important!" He shouts continuing to bang on my bedroom door, I take a look to Cody and the picnic. "Hang on, I'm just getting dressed!" I shout back rising to my feet, I look around the room not knowing if there was anywhere that Cody could hide, but then I take a look to the picnic, there is no way my dad wouldn't notice a cute little picnic on the floor and not question it. "Okay wait here, I'll see what he wants" I whisper to Cody while dismantling my barricade, I slip passed my chest of drawers leaving me the tiniest gap to slip through my door. Once I was out, my worried dad stood in the hallway, I close my bedroom door standing in the doorway. My dad looks at me strangely then at my door. "Are you hiding something in your room?" He asks now pointing to the door behind me, way to go Erika you could have been a bit more inconspicuous! "No, it's just my barricade is still up and I don't want you to see the meticulous details of how I constructed it" I say thinking off the top of my head but add a smile, I didn't want him to catch onto the fact I was making it up "so what is it you want?" I ask changing the subject completely, he gives me a look before nodding. "All my officers got sent out in the search for you and now you're back we did a head count, Officer Tyler hasn't come back" he says all panicked, I was now the one to send him a confused look. "What does that have to do with me? I mean yeah you went out looking for me but I didn't organise any of it, oh and I don't even know an Officer Tyler" I say crossing my arms kind of annoyed that he's wasting my time, I could be sat in my bedroom eating cheese with that hot guy! "You know him, it's the one that chased you after you refused to show him your neck, which I'm still unclear why you refused" he says kind of changing the topic slightly, but I definitely knew who he was talking about and I knew where he was, but I couldn't tell him that. "That was in protest and I don't know where your annoying officer is, maybe off tackling other innocent people" I say still annoyed that he messed up my arm like this, he caused me a lot of trouble for literally no reason! "Officer Tyler, is a little rough around the edges but he's a great cop, he was last seen walking into the woods to look for you and you were saw leaving the woods" he says which does make me start to panic, oh crap he's gonna find out what happened "we won't be mad if you saw what happened to him and are too scared to say what happened" he says reaching out placing his hand on my shoulder, wait he was blaming me?! I mean yeah I did kind of help you know make him go missing but they don't know that. "I didn't see anything, just because we both entered the woods doesn't mean we saw each other, do you understand how big the woods are? It's more than likely we were miles away from each other" I say crossing my arms as I hear movement in my bedroom, please don't say he's leaving "I hope you find your jerk officer but I'm not gonna be any help to you, goodnight" I say turning to open my bedroom door but he stops me again, I didn't hear movement in my bedroom anymore but that could mean he's left! "Wait there is something else, I thought as you were the one that gave us the information on the werewolves, you should be updated on anything we find" he says which does make me stop and turn to look at him, he successfully peaked my interest "we now know the Alpha's name and are in the process of setting a meeting up with him, let's hope we can come to some sort of arrangement" he smiles crossing his arms, this once again peaks more of my interest and I now wanna know what he's called. "So what's his name?" I ask all intrigued, most Alpha's have really sick names or from what I've read about. "Alpha Cody, we never got his last name as apparently they don't really go by them, but it's better than nothing" he explains but as soon as the Alpha's name came out of his mouth I froze, I slowly move my head to look at my bedroom door where Cody was, no they can't be the same person. "Do you have a picture of him, I mean we wanna know what he looks like so we know if we've got the right name?" I ask now fully looking at my dad, I needed to know for sure if it was or was not the dude that is sat in my bedroom. "Actually yeah, we got files sent over give me a second" he says running down the stairs to grab the files, while he was gone my eyes didn't leave the door, what if he is the Alpha? What would he want with me? Before I could maybe find the answers to those questions, my dad comes running back up the stairs with a file in his hand. He flips through it for awhile until he pulls a photo out, he hands it to me smiling without a care in the world. I knew when I looked at this photo two things could happen, the first it won't be him and I wouldn't have to worry, or second it is him and that would mean I have an Alpha sat in my bedroom for reasons I don't know. I take it from my dad and my heart kind of sinks when I look at it, right in front of me was the photo of the dude that's sat in my bedroom. I swallow getting rather worried with a million questions running around my head, what does he want with me? "I know, it's crazy how normal they look" my dad says breaking me out of my thoughts, I just not agreeing with him while handing the photo back "well I'll let you get off to bed, please no more running off on your own" he says slipping the file under his arm as he went, I once again nod as I didn't know how to form a sentence. He waves me goodnight leaving me stood alone in the hallway, just minutes before this I wanted nothing more than to walk in my bedroom to get back. But now I'm stood out here not knowing if I really want to go back in, how things can change in minutes. I knew I really had no choice but to go back in and it could be a good thing, I can ask him why he's so interested in me. I take a deep breath in before opening the door, due to my strong barricade up the door only opened a little bit. I sigh slipping through the gap and passed my barricade, this is when I see Cody sat on the picnic basket smiling towards me. My dads right, they do look so normal. "I lay more of the food out while you were gone" he says smiling looking up at me, I still stood frozen by my piled up furniture "is everything okay?" He asks probably getting that vibe from me, how can he look so normal?! "Y-you're a werewolf" I stutter out my eyes not leaving his as I spoke, he looks rather taken back at first that I knew but he soon rises to his feet. "I'm not going to deny it and say that I'm not when I am, I didn't want to tell you yet because I didn't want to ruin what he have right now" he tells me starting to walk towards where I was standing, I immediately start to take steps back until I hit my barricade. "Please don't hurt me" I say closing my eyes and also holding my arms in front of them, now I knew what he really was I was prettified of him. "I would never hurt you Erika, no matter what happens I will never lay a finger on you to hurt you" he tells me as I feel his hands take hold of my forearms, he pulls them away from my eyes so I could see his face "I'm still the same person you weren't scared of a minute ago, I was the person who set up this incredible picnic" he says pointing back to the picnic on the floor. I took this as my opportunity to push him slightly and slip back through my chest of drawers, I managed to open my door before I hear the chest of drawers being ripped away. This did give me another opportunity to open the door wide and try to escape, but before I could fully leave the room a hand is placed over my mouth and I'm pulled back into the room. More fear just takes over my senses as he pins me against the door, my whole body begins to shake with fear as I look in his eyes. "I'm not going to hurt you Erika, please you have to let me explain" he says looking into my eyes, tears just begin to pour out of my eyes as I try to get out of his arms, I did manage to get his hand off my mouth. "P-please let me go" I cry trying to get fully out of his arms, he shakes his arms still holding me in place. "I can't, please just listen to me so I can explain" he pleads while I just start to panic, he looks at me with sad eyes before placing his forehead on mine "it's okay, calm down" he says looking me in the eyes where as always, I get lost in them instantly. We stay like that for a few minutes, I don't know how or why but looking into his eyes, it instantly calmed me down. That's what happened back at the raid, I was literally nearly eaten by a wolf but when I looked into Cody's eyes, the world kind of fizzled away. After a little while I had fully calmed down as he pulls his forehead from mine. "Now you've calmed down we can talk, yes you are correct about me being a werewolf but there's one thing you don't know" he tells me his hands moving down my arms to hold my hands "you're my mate" he simply tells me where my mouth just hangs open, what in the heck is he talking about?!
