Chapter 53.2
I was already trying not to get in between them, but she mentioned my name. She stayed looking at me intently while waiting for an answer, which was why I was forced to answer.
In response, I stepped closer to her to show who I would side with, making Felicity's jaw drop.
"See? She's not happy with what you did. We can sue you, and I could even put up a billboard to tell everyone that you are a pervert!"
"Hey! That's too much!" Felicity shouted.
"Lower your voice, Bakla." I thought of stepping backward and leaving the two there, but the doctor mentioned my name again. "If you don't want your name to be ruined, apologize to us, especially to Elyana."
Felicity looked at me with pleading eyes. I knew the doctor was only making fun of him. Same reason why I chose to go to her side, but what she was telling him made sense, and she seemed too serious with her words.
"Fine! I'm sorry," he unexpectedly apologized, bowing his head a little.
"Hmm…Not convincing for me. How about you, Elyana?" Doctor Chelsea commented, turning to my direction to ask my opinion, however, I suddenly got ashamed when Felicity looked up and stared straight into my eyes.
"Will you forgive him, Elyana?" The doctor got my attention.
'Will I forgive him even though he saw what he shouldn't have seen? It's not an acceptable reason to tolerate him and just let it slide as if there was no malice to me because there is!' I thought for a moment.
Although there were times he already saw me naked and such, during the time he saved me and moments, he was helping me clean and put medicine on my burns. I knew what just happened was far from those events, but still—
'Should I forgive him?' I asked myself.
What I did to him crossed my mind. I already slapped him. 'Was that enough?'
The cheek I slapped was showing evidence. It was red, and my hand left a visible mark on his skin.
"I-I forgive him, doctor," I finally answered.
"Why that fast? I'm having fun doing this." I heard Doctor Chelsea murmur as she leaned a little toward me, and she eventually turned to Felicity.
"You're lucky your best friend is nice. Anyway, will you do it again?" the doctor asked him.
"I swear to heaven and earth, I will not do it again! I don't want to die the next time I do it!" he replied loudly to us. He even raised his left hand to make a promise while his right hand was placed on his chest.
"Then good... and it's good that you finally wake up. Although I'm sad I hadn't fulfilled your fans' dreams to have your genes," the doctor muttered while laughing.
Doctor Chelsea picked a folder right on her desk. "This is the result. Have a seat here, Elyana," she announced as she gestured her hand on the chair in front of her table.
"Why just here? Why are you not asking me to sit?" Felicity protested, acting like he was sulking and pouting his lips like a child.
"Sit on the floor if you want. You're not my patient anyway. You can have it again if you like too, and we will wake you up once we're done, and then after a few years, many people will come blocking your way on the street while introducing themselves as your children," Doctor Chelsea told him.
"My God, Chelsea! Will you please stop mentioning that? You're giving me so many goosebumps. I will never fulfill their desires over my dead, beautiful body!" Felicity replied in disgust.
He walked closer to us and pulled a chair for himself. "Give us the result fast so we can leave as soon as possible before your crazy patients see me here again. Go on," he ordered Doctor Chelsea.
"Fine!" she responded, scanning the printed paper inside the folder she was holding. "Well, this is good news," she said, and my knees went weak with what I heard.
"Big chances, Elyana. You better hurry if you want to have a baby soon. You're ovulating now, so tell your husband that it is the best time," the doctor happily uttered, but when she mentioned husband, it seemed I got struck by lightning on my seat.
My whole body just got cold at that time. I wanted to correct her, but no words came out of my mouth. I didn't know why, but she suddenly apologized because of what she said wrongly, and to move forward, she suggested ways for me in the future that I could do to have the child I wanted. She said I was welcome to come back to her clinic if I wanted help, even if I didn't have a husband.
I know what she meant, but I was still in the moment where my brain was still processing the results she gave.
On our way back to the mansion, I was covered with mixed emotions. I admitted to myself that I was beyond happy. Although I knew in all the joy I felt in my entire existence that one was different from any emotions I had felt.
Just like on our way to the clinic, Felicity was silent, and because I was preoccupied with the burst of emotions, I didn't give so much attention to him.
When we arrived, I stopped Felicity from getting out of the car. I grabbed his arm and looked straight into his eyes. "Can you please keep what we learned today a secret to Mom and Dad? Even to your family. I want to tell them about this news this coming Christmas," I requested.
A smile formed on his lips. "Sure, I will," he answered.
"Thank you, girl." I smiled back at him and let him go.
We walked inside the mansion together; however, he halted when we were already a few steps away from the front door.
"Still early; I should go to the office," he said while checking the time on his feminine wristwatch.
It was already nearly lunchtime.
"Why don't you join me for lunch before going?" I suggested, but his answer and his tone made me wonder what was wrong when he was already gone.
He told me he would order lunch in his office. I was left standing there confused, asking myself if he told me something I didn't hear while we were on our way home or if I said something bad, but I couldn't remember anything.
"What is his problem?" I mumbled and started walking to go upstairs and to change my clothes.
