Chapter 79
Third-person's POV
Elyana started feeling strange in the sixth month of her pregnancy. Her doctor advised her not to stay at home often instead of doing what she mostly does daily.
There were no frequent dizziness or cravings for food, but she was always looking for someone—her best friend. Her day seemed incomplete without seeing him, making her beg for him to stay at the mansion again.
Felicity was against it, but it was hard to refuse the request of a pregnant woman. Besides, there were so many who were on Elyana's side, convincing him to agree to her request. He didn't like how much she became too clingy to him, to the point where he already felt annoyed when she was around. He couldn't have his privacy since he moved back to the mansion because she wanted to sleep next to him.
It was not Elyana's fault at all. It was the baby inside that could feel the strong connection between them that he wanted his father to be around. Elyana was only following the messages the baby was sending her brain, which mostly, put her in confusion about what was happening to her.
But not until Elyana developed an intense desire for something that only a man could provide.
They were currently in the guest room, sharing a king-size bed. Elyana awoke in the middle of the night because she was feeling hot, even though the air conditioner was on and the room was cold inside.
She tried going back to sleep right after removing the blanket wrapping her body. When she opened her eyes, Felicity's face was the first she saw. Her eyes moved, looking into his closed eyes down to his pinkish lips.
With their distance and one pillow in between, Elyana could smell Felicity's breath. It had a scent of mint, but the air he was blowing that reached Elyana's face was giving her a different sensation that she didn't know how to explain.
Elyana swallowed when she felt his throat was drying. She got teased for touching her best friend's face, but she stopped her hand before reaching the sleeping matchmaker.
She immediately turned her back on him before doing anything crazy that would disturb the matchmaker's rest. She promised herself not to mess around, but she couldn't control the strong desire inside her. She tossed and turned on the bed, eventually waking up the person next to her.
"W-what is the matter, girl?" Felicity asked. The deep frown showed how much disturbance Elyana had made, but he maintained a low voice to make sure the sensitive pregnant woman wouldn't think he was mad.
Elyana froze for a moment, ashamed of how she would tell Felicity what was going on with her that late. "I-I think I have a fever," she answered, causing Felicity to rush to get up to check Elyana's skin temperature.
He checked his forehead and neck using the back of his hand. "You're a little hot," he uttered after. "Wait, I'll get you some medicine," he continued after removing his hand from her to dash into the restroom, where there was a medical cabinet waiting for him. Nevertheless, before he could ever jump out of bed, Elyana grabbed her arm.
"No, no need," she tried convincing him.
"What do you mean? That could get worse. It's better to stop it before it happens," Felicity responded.
"Don't worry too much; I will be fine. Besides, I think I need something else," she said softly, looking away after feeling ashamed of herself.
Felicity's eyebrows met. She got puzzled about what she meant.
"Then what do you need?" Elyana let go of his arm.
"I don't think you need to know," Elyana said, lying back on the bed.
"Come on, tell me. I could help you," Felicity insisted.
"No, it is really fine; just forget about it and go back to sleep," she said, attempting to persuade him, but Felicity could not stop himself from worrying.
"Do you not realize how silly that is? Something could happen to your baby if you do not give him what he needs right now." Felicity frightened her.
The shame she was feeling grew at that time. Elyana had no choice but to sit back down on the bed to face her best friend. She couldn't believe he would use the baby as a reason to make her talk.
Felicity crossed his arms over his chest, one eyebrow raising as he waited for Elyana's answer.
"I-I…" Elyana murmured.
"What?" Felicity couldn't even wait.
Elyana bowed her head in shame. She couldn't say it to him, but she feared what he told her that it could affect her child and that was something she couldn't let.
"Speak now so I can find what you might—"
"I don't think you could."
"And why not?" Felicity confusedly asked. His raised eyebrow was right at its peak, but Elyana still couldn't see it.
"I feel like I am in…heat," Elyana finally said. Felicity's eyes widened.
"A-are you going crazy?" Felicity stammered. Those words gave him creeps all over his body. His ears felt warm and he nearly lost his balance.
"You know you're pregnant, right? How could—how could your child be—" he paused after he couldn't be able to tell what exactly he wanted to tell Elyana. Instead, he bites his lower lip to compose himself first before continuing because he still had things to say, but his thoughts seemed scattered inside his head that night.
"What do you expect me to do?" Elyana asked. She remained bowing, afraid of the judging eyes she could see once she raised it.
"Take a cold shower, perhaps. Do something relaxing. If you have a game on your phone, just play. There are more things to do, Ellie—a lot," Felicity answered. He was trying to act like he was okay, but it was obvious how much that conversation left her uncomfortable.
"I don't even have a single game on my phone to distract my mind with," Elyana murmured like a child who seemed to have so much fear for the person standing before him.
She eventually grabbed a pillow. She hugged it tightly as she buried her face in it. It was the same time Felicity took the opportunity to turn his back on her.
"Hey! Where are you going?" Elyana immediately chased to ask him.
He didn't turn back at her, but he stopped when he was already in front of the door. He forgot to take his cellphone with him and after grabbing it on the bedside table, he continued his way out.
"I will find you help," he said before shutting the door behind him.
Elyana's jaw dropped. "What the heck?" she muttered. She was deeply embarrassed of herself. She chased him outside and immediately saw him standing in the hallway, not far from the guest room. He was holding his phone near his ear and she slowed down her pace because she wanted to know who he was talking to.
"Well, that's insane to crave for," Felicity commented while rolling his eyes, still unaware that Elyana was behind him.
"That's part of pregnancy. The body craves because it is what is needed. When she craves, it means it is lacking so you need to give her what she needs at the moment, either you or someone else," Chelsea, who was on the other line, answered after learning what the emergency Felicity meant that late.
She was still yawning while they talked, but because she got alarmed by the call, she immediately attended, thinking it was a real emergency to consider.
"Then how can I help her? Should I get her a man?" Elyana wanted to jump into Felicity right away when she heard this, but she instead closed her fist and stayed calm behind him because she wanted more to hear.
"I don't know. Maybe you already have ideas there you just don't want to consider. You have to remember that this is also your fault. Your child is in her womb. So do something for her, Bakla. Help the mother of your child," Chelsea advised, giving Felicity thoughts that he was having second thoughts.
Chelsea hung up, leaving him still confused about what to do to help his best friend.
"Felicity?" He was stunned when someone called his name. He turned to see Elyana, who had been there for a while but she didn't hear anything Chelsea said on the phone to Felicity.
His eyes went from Elyana's head to her toe. He wasn't that aware of what clothes Elyana was wearing when she went to sleep and by the time she stood before him, he realized it was only a silk lavender nightgown with a deep cut on the chest part and he could see through Elyana's pair of small round n*pples.
Her baby bump was quite visible at this time, but it wasn't big at all. She only seemed full right after eating so much and her br*ast grew bigger as the months went by. Elyana felt how his eyes examined her body and she admitted that the way he looked at her added to the desire she was feeling that night.
Felicity wet his throat. He was the first to look away after he felt the extreme discomfort he started feeling. "T-there is no one available," he lied, stuttering.
"I told you, there's no need to do that," Elyana uttered. Her eyes were fixed on Felicity, getting magnetized to get close to him.
She shook her head and lowered it, erasing everything inside her head. "I'll return to my room," she announced and she was about to turn around when Felicity stopped her by grabbing her hand.
